SONANCE/TORPOR SPLIT

by SONANCE

Sundimmer SONANCE do the tension/release thing with angular precision in the doom realm. Much like June '44 did in the in the indy realm of the 90's. Dueling desperation vocals. An excellent release.

Nic Brown It's hard to overstate the power of Sonance's blistering 2014 album "Blackflower" but their return to the fray courtesy of this split with the wonderful Torpor is, if anything, an even more potent distillation of their June of '44-do-sludge aesthetic than was its illustrious predecessor. Fragile guitar melodies smashed to atoms by gargantuan riffs ... this band could be your DEATH. Buy Torpor's side too and succumb. Favorite track: CAPES.
